Objective
The growing demand for energy despite limited fossil fuel reserves and growing environmental concerns is probably the
major challenge of the 21st century. To achieve a sustainable development, the origin and the usage of energy have to
be addressed. Advanced energy technologies for both fossil and renewable energy carriers have to be developed, requiring
significant progress in research and technology. This conference is intended to provide a platform for researchers from
industry and academia to exchange information and identify research needs in the area of heat transfer in components and
systems for sustainable energy technologies.
Topics
Academic and industrial contributions on heat transfer and energy management in components and systems for the energy conversion
and usage in all industrial sectors are considered. Papers dealing with technology development or thermal management of systems are particularly welcome.
- Heat transfer in the process, refrigeration and transport industries
o Industrial heat exchangers
o Refrigeration systems
o Industrial heat pumps
o System efficiency
o Mobile air-conditioning
|
- Heat transfer for building and residential applications

Format
The conference will consist of keynote lectures, paper and poster presentations. The conference duration is two and half days and will leave
time for discussion and networking activities. The contributions will be compiled and distributed to the participants in the form of a CD and
in a bound volume. Selected papers will be forwarded to Heat Transfer Engineering or Applied Thermal Engineering for possible publication.
